Winners of FIAP 2022: creativity making history

FIAP now has named the winners of its 51st edition. Entries from all over Ibero-America were judged by top professionals in the region, who made it clear why Latino creativity is now the world’s finest. Following a judgment process headed by Ester Garcia Codin, CEO of the Havas Group Spain (president of the Formats category); Gustavo Lauria, co-founder/CCO of We Believers and co-chairman of Circulo Creativo USA (president of Innovation); Felipe Luchi, co-owner and creative director of Santeria (president of Advertisements); and Mauri Clavijo, executive producer and partner of Oriental Films (president of Production), the Ibero-American Festival of Creativity awarded 41 gold medals, 91 silver and 93 bronze, along with 3 Great Suns and two Special Mentions. Let it be said that in its 51st edition, FIAP in collaboration with Carnaval Art awarded its prizes as NFTs (non-fungible tokens, certified on the blockchain), thus becoming the first advertising festival on the planet to use that system.Jurors in the Formats category handed out 10 gold medals, 27 silver and 33 bronze. The Great Sun of Ibero-America went to Whopper Heist, a campaign developed by We Believers for Burger King Argentina.We Believers also won the Great Sun for Innovation with its Plastic Fishing Championship,developed for AB InBev. In that category the jury also handed out 9 gold, 16 silver and 13 bronze medals. The Great Sun was taken by Better with Pepsi, the extraordinary campaign created by Alma for Pepsi-Cola. Finally, something historically unheard of took place during the Festival in the Production category. Due to the incredible quality of two gold-medal campaigns – Virus by anonymous for The Non-Violence Project, and Bihar, Choosing Tomorrow by LLYC for BBK in Spain – the jurors decided to award both campaigns Special Mentions in the knowledge that awarding a Great Sun to just one of the campaigns would mean ignoring the enormous quality of the other. Awarded in the Production category were 49 medals: 10 gold, 23 silver and 16 bronze.The United States made history in FIAP 2022. Among the participating countries, the U.S. consolidated an outstanding year of creativity in advertising festivals, both regional and global. With 15 gold medals and 2 Great Suns from FIAP, it became the top winner in the 2022 competition and set a historical landmark, since it did far better than countries that have traditionally come out tops in such events. Winners of the yearAlma confirmed itself as Agency of the Year; We Believers as the Independent Agency of the Year; DDB as Network of the Year; AB InBev won the highest prize as Advertiser of the Year; while Oriental Films was named Producer of the Year; all in FIAP 2022. FIAP had the patronage of AudioNetwork, Carnaval and BreakMakers Productions
