Marcos Cline from Altered.La: MIP Cancún Validates Our Company’s Strategy Developing Content

Altered.La was one of the five finalists of Mip Cancun 2016 MipFormats Pitch with its reality show, Disconnect. The show aims to audiences’ deep interaction in social networks, and it has been designed to engage young viewers. Marcos Cline, Executive Producer at the production house talked about the project. “Our intention was to find a way that audiences were really a part of the show. The idea of the competition is to take into a home a group of influencers, deprive them of technological contact and propose them challenges they must accomplish without using any digital platform. Contestants will be split in two groups and the audience will vote for the winner. The third part of the show is called Reconnect, and allows the eliminated contenders to compete with technology in order to go back to Disconnect” he explained. Cline is very happy with the recognition. “It’s most important to be at MIP Cancún because it validates our company’s efforts and strategy to develop our own content. It’s a great platform to make us visible in the market of content buyers.” The winner will be announced on November 17th and 18th. Recently, Cline was accepted as member of Producers Guild of America. “I believe we’re few the Hispanic Producers that have this privilege. We have to support each other in order to be more diverse. It will be nice if all producers had an active involvement in an organization that fights for our interests” he concluded.
