LatinWE and ABC Entertainment Group celebrated last Saturday, the first LatinWE/ABC Crossover Forum from the Soho House of Miami Beach.The event brought together for the first time 30 of the most promising and successful Latino talent; representatives of the most important management agencies in the Hispanic world and executives of major television networks, in order to train to increase the Hispanic representation in Hollywood.LatinWE/ABC Crossover Forum, created by Becky Villaescusa, chief of the Talent Management Division of LatinWE, focused on exploring the needs, barriers and opportunities for actors and actresses to perform successfully in the general market of USA.The panel of speakers was composed by Claudia Lyon, VP of ABC Casting; Jessie Disla, executive of ABC Casting; Lori Wyman of Wyman Casting, Carlos Bobadilla, manager of directors and writers at LatinWE and Bruno Del Granado, well-known CAA agent.According to Luis Balaguer, CEO and founder of LatinWE, it became clear that there is so much talent, the desire and interest of both Hispanic actors and Hollywood executives to achieve the cross-over of Hispanic talent, through the forum.”It was a very positive and necessary exchange for our market, which undoubtedly should almost quadruple its presence in Hollywood to equal with that 17% which represents as a population in United States,” Balaguer concluded.
