Jessica Ricaurte, CRO of Adsmovil, was in charge of presenting a study of streaming to show how Hispanics are adopting that format. The talk explored how free streaming platforms supported by advertising, such as Nuestra.TV, can provide the latest opportunity to satisfy the programming interests of today’s holistic, bilingual and bicultural Hispanic market. Court Stroud, executive producer and co-host of The Podcast Revolution, was the moderator. “I believe this is a great way to offer programs for children. When we talk about children’s programming we’re referring to entertainment, learning and general development. As marketers we don’t sell children’s programming, there’s a gap there and what it means is that we’re not really focused on that aspect. What we see in Latino children is their need for representation. There are two sides to that: the children need to see themselves reflected on-screen but immersed in matters relevant to them,” Ricaurte said. She noted that Nuestra.TV marks a big difference from anything else that exists on the market by “providing content representative of Latinos.”
