Zubi desarrolló 267 emojis inspirados en la cultura latina
Hispanic agency, Zubi Advertising, launched a collection of 267 emojis inspired in the Latino culture, the people and the food. They collected icons from Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela to create the images. The Latino Emojis can be downloaded from iTunes or Google Play on a keyboard that allows users to include these cultural stamps in their text messages.Unilever realized that all emojis had straight hair, so they launched the emoji keyboard Dove Love Your Curls at the beginning of November. Now Zubi joins the trend with the Latino images. “We knew the Latino Emojis would be a hit, because Latinos are arguably the most expressive individuals in the world -we wear our hearts, passion and excitement on our faces and in our cultural choices and preferences” said Michelle Zubizarreta, CAO at Zubi.Zubizarreta added that each one of the emojis was designed in their offices by someone from each country. In the future they expect to include El Salvador, Uruguay and Dominican Republic. The images include typical food, popular expressions and characters that are fun for each Latino to discover. The agency hasn’t shown the icons to its clients yet. “We wanted to see the traction they got, to be able to have a better case study to present to them” she said. One of Zubi’s biggest clients is Ford and the brand is already a fan of emojis.
