Yum! Brands earns several acknowledgements with its campaign World Hunger Relief when it is awarded the best branding cause campaign, and the best non-profit association of the year by PR News ‘RSE. It is also a runner up in the categories Global Campaign of the Year and Best Campaign of the year for a cause on the annual PRWeek prizes.World Hunger Relief is the private sector’s most important initiative in the world to combat hunger, and spreads across more than 125 countries, more than 41.000 KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell restaurants and 1.5 million associates. The initiative began in 2007 in an effort to raise awareness, volunteer work, and funds for the World Food Programme (WFP) and other hunger-fighting agencies. Since 2007 World Hunger Relief has raised US$600 million in cash and food donations, providing 2.4 thousand million nutritious meals for women and children around the world. “The acknowledgement reflects the incredible awareness of our world spokesperson Christina Aguilera, who has helped to raise funds.
