Young users will drive the use of Instagram for 2015

The habit of taking photos and videos via smartphones is increasing; and as a result, the social network to share photos could benefit. According to a study in the November 2014 of Frank Magid Associates, the percentage of US users using Instagram rose from 24% to 32% between 2013 and 2014, a figure that exceeds more than double that in 2012.In line with estimations from eMarketer, the popularity of the network will increase to 33.8% this year. As for audience segmentation, the research bets to the generation of millennials as the main drivers of using Instagram among adults.Meanwhile, Cowen & Company found that 44% of American Internet users of 18-29 years of age were more likely than any other age group to use Instagram, 21 percentage points higher than the response of Facebook, and 11 over Twitter.eMarketer estimates that Instagram users will reach 60.3 million in the US this year, with the audience 12-34 years who represent the strongest consumer group of the platform, accessing it through any device at least each month during 2015.
