Martínez se identifica con el pilar de ambiente de Ford
Yeisa Martínez, blogger of Being Latina combines her conservationist passion with her experience in performance arts to help with social change. In her search for engaging young people with the environment through volunteering, Ford acknowledged her in its fourth year of Legendary Women. “Ive witnessed Fords philanthropic efforts such as the construction of houses with Habitat for humanity in Detroit. The company continuously gives back to communities in different and meaningful ways. Being selected as a Fords Legendary Woman is something very special for me.” Due to her passion and promoting conservationist spaces, Martínez is identified with the green Fords core. “I am active in the eco community and have helped curate eco-friendly events with local organizations such as Green Thumb NYC in New York. I also currently advocate living a health and green lifestyle and express myself through various platforms including Being Latina, and still continue on my quest for social reform by volunteering with several organizations.” She said she will like to work with Ford to educate and empower youth in the community. “When you provide vital information on living an eco-friendly and humanitarian lifestyle to youth, we can help to disconnect them from their televisions and phones and help to connect them with their communities.”
