Michelle Headley, VP sénior de Operaciones de ALMA
For Michelle Headley, Operations SVP at ALMA, diversity and inclusion should be part of agencies’ leadership and culture. “Diversity, equality, representation and inclusion are important topics for our industry to consider.” She doesn’t think there’s necessarily a parallel between a moment in politics and change in an industry, but -she noted- one can inform and influence the other. “Take diversity, for example. It’s the current buzzword, but too few really know how to implement. For Alma, diversity and inclusion is part of our 22-year DNA. We know that our team is most effective when it reflects the multicultural marketplace we serve and so our commitment to an integrated and culturally balanced team is essential.” In January, Headley participated in the women march against the U.S. President, Donald Trump in January. She explained that Trump’s election was very divisive presidential election and she feels the demonstration was organized to represent inclusion and highlight many important topics in a positive way. “It wasn’t only about women’s concerns or one topic. Globally 3 million women marched together to show their commitment to important issues. I believe women will continue to advocate and group together to support these issues.” “Together we are stronger. Unity is the best defense against polarization” she highlighted.
