Wing, the multicultural unit of the Grey agency, won a silver and three bronze Lions in the category Radio & Audio at Cannes Lions 2019 and seven shortlists for its campaign Inmigrant Songs for the Southern Poverty Law Center. This gave the agency the second place in the ranking of Hispanic agencies in Cannes. One of the shortlists was in the category Sustainable Development Goals Lions, another in Media, and five shortlists in Radio & Audio. The campaign consisted of the Southern Poverty Law Center together with the Grammy Latino winning band, Flor De Toloache, launching songs that offer important information on the rights of immigrants when the interact with police and immigration authorities. The first music theme that came out is titled David y Goliat, it is a corrido, a narrative popular musical genre on oppression, everyday life of farmers and other socially relevant topics. It is the first launch of the Immigrant Songs Initiative and is available on all the digital broadcasting platforms and for sale on iTunes and Spotify. The initiative includes a video to share the message in a broader way and provide greater understanding of the legal abuse many immigrants and refugees receive when crossing the border. It was produced by Flor de Toloache New York, Massive Music New York, Southern Poverty Law Center Montgomery, Studio G Brooklyn New York, and Wanax Music Mexico City.
