The Wing/Grey agency is nominated in four categories for the North American Effie 2015 awards, for its campaign to encourage youngsters in New York city to have an HIV test, titled Know Your Status Stage for LifeBeat. The firm competes in the categories: health services, best job in non-profit organizations, marketing aimed at young people and low-budget services.The challenge of the campaign was to manage to get 500 young people in New to commit to getting an HIV test, an initiative launched in 2012 with the offer that the test was the only way to get a ticket for a concert. All the tickets were sold, which, according to the firm, can be interpreted as a sign that the youngsters learned their state of health and it helped halt the spread of HIV.Approximately 30% of new cases of HIV in New York come from young people, most of which are multicultural and 60% doesn’t know they have the virus, which is why they must be convinced to get the test, stated the agency.Lifebeat is a non-profit organization which, together with the musical industry offers HIV / AIDS education and support services for young people.With 4 nominations already, things look promising for Wing/Greyl Winners will be made known at the end of April, and the Effie awards gala will be held on June 4th.
