Wendy Clark joined the DDB Worldwide team as the new president and CEO of DDB North America two months ago. She has devoted the first weeks to sharing with her colleagues and clients to understand their goals and passions. In an interview, the executive shared he goals to ignite creativity and innovative ideas in the agency and on the client’s side, as well.Clark was away from agency life since 2004 and feels that in this environment “everything has changed. The expansion of channels, the expansion of technology there is no question that there have been massive shifts in the marketplace. What hasnt changed is DDBs enduring belief that creativity can solve the greatest business challenges out there, and perhaps even the worlds greatest challenges. This unrelenting belief in the power of creativity is exactly the same as it was 66 years ago, when DDB was first founded.The CEO stated that If you love advertising and if you believe in the power of creativity, then you probably have -somewhere inside you- a special place for DDB. The agency was one of the first to shape the industry and therefore it transcends the competitive nature of our industry today. “Knowing that my fingerprints could somehow touch or shape DDBs legacy was just something too important and too powerful for me to look away from” she added.”I consider DDB to be in the growth business. Our chief mandate is helping DDBs clients to achieve their ambitions and goalsand many of those ambitions and goals are typically centered on growth” she expressed.
