WALLO’s campaign The Journey for Jarritos was the great winner at the 2017 Dallas American Advertising Federation Awards (ADDYs) on February 23rd. The independent idea shop won 16 awards including the coveted Overall Best of Show, which reaffirms its position as an emerging leader in the industry. The campaign celebrates the challenges, triumphs, and unity of the immigrant journey. “We are glad to have won, but these awards mean so much more than that. To win means that the campaign touched people’s hearts and made an impact. It’s what the purpose of Jarritos and the team. We wanted to bring unity and celebrate all the immigrants who make this country” said Walter Barraza, Co-Founder and Creative Director at WALO. The agency was also the recipient of AAF Dallas’ first ever Mosaic Award that celebrates campaigns and agencies who display a strong sense of diversity and inclusion. The Journey campaign won Best of Show in Broadcast, Gold in Branded Content and Entertainment and Online, Film, Video & Sound. Silver titles were given in Consumer Website, Internet Commercial Campaign, Illustration Series, Film, Music, Voiceover, Sound Design, Integrated Branded Content Campaign, and Copywriting. Lastly, Bronze medals were given in Branded Content.
