Hispanics are taking the television with their mobile devices to every corner of the US, according to a study released by the telecommunications service provider Verizon, which revealed that Latino audiences use 72% more video streaming than the rest of the inhabitants of the country.The publication also states that Hispanic viewers are at the forefront of technology, for each month they enjoy 8 hours of online video, which means 90 minutes more than the overall US population that Nielsen reported this year.Verizon stressed that 37% of consumers of content in Spanish watch their favorite shows from home using the VOD application of the company, FiOS Mobile App, more than 20% than the non-Latino segment.The telecommunications company in the US reported that more than 1.2 million families have seen television through the FiOS app, which has 165 transmission channels, 60 of them available on TV Everywhere and over 70,000 video titles. Among the products most in demand there are the games of UEFA Champions League and football tournaments in Spain and Mexico.Verizon plans to offer more options to users of VOD and OTT, as already announced that they will offer Internet TV including custom channels in 2015.
