McKechnie liderará a un equipo de casi 60 personas en sus oficinas en NY
Verizon decided to build an in-house agency to boost its brand in a highly competitive market, and to lead this move they hired former Apple’s Global Group Creative Director, Andrew McKechnie to be the new CCO of the telecommunications company. With over 16 years of experience, McKechnie will be in charge of transforming Verizon from a wireless company into an innovative technology company, through new cross-platform branding. He will be leading a team of almost 60 people, from Verizon’s new agency-offices in New York City’s Financial District, and reporting directly to Verizon’s CMO, Diego Scotti. “As we expand our bench of world-class marketing talent, we are thrilled for Andrew to bring his global expertise and fresh aesthetic to the Verizon brand” Scotti said in a statement. “Andrew and his team will help to drive demand for our products and services, as well as accelerate our efficiencies, speed to market and innovation.” “It’s a great opportunity to build something from the ground up rather than inheriting a legacy structure. There’s no group to dismantle” said McKechnie. Verizon will not be disconnecting completely from its independent agency and media partners such as McCann, R/GA and Zenith.
