Millennials are the most sought-after consumer segment in the country. For Verena Thompson, CSO at Conill, in this group, Hispanics and especially millennial moms are the biggest opportunity for any brand today. That is why Conill organized The 12th Annual Marketing to Moms Conference, that will be held in New York on October 3rd and 4th. If you take into account that most millennial women are mothers, that means that approximately one fourth of millennial moms in the U.S. are Latinas. “That makes them the single largest ethnic segment within that group” explained Thompson in a corporate video. The problem to reach this group, according to Thompson, is that despite the large amount of information out there, it is disjointed and lacks real context. “It is almost as if you had a big canvas to work with but you can’t paint the picture” she said. She explained that there are so many truths and so many myths, that it is necessary to dig deeper and get really personal. “This is the only way to understand them and be part of their conversation. Definitely, that is the key to winning their heart” she concluded.
