The U.S. Hispanic Círculo Creativo is launching a new series of post-Cannes talks beginning in Los Angeles on August 8. The event aims to stimulate interaction and discussion among creatives, according to Elias Weinstock, CCO of Casanova//McCann and representative of the Círculo Creativo in L.A. “Members of the Círculo Creativo are taking this post-Cannes event to several cities around the United States to offer their takeaways from Cannes this year, such as the trends, lessons learned and how our market did during the festival,” he said. This first session will be held at the headquarters of Acento Advertising in Santa Monica, California, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Weinstock called it “a chance to talk about the winners and losers at the festival, to discuss different points of view and talk about where we stand as a market.” He said there will be no panelists at the L.A. event: “Our wish is that the focus of the event and the subject of discussion will be the work being showcased. I will host the presentation of the winning ads and the sharing of trends we observed at Cannes this year.” The L.A. event is sponsored by Carbo Films and Tono Studios, with special thanks to Accent Advertising. The board of the U.S. Hispanic Círculo Creativo will soon announce the dates and locations of the following post-Cannes sessions.
