Massimo Martinotti, president of RedMagmaMedia announced the startup of DayDream Storymakers, a new company offering services of destination branding, social media, licensing and content marketing to the tourism and hospitality industries. The fledgling outfit has offices in Miami, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and San Jose in Costa Rica.We see tourism as a good place to begin telling stories for three reasons. First, tourism is the perfect subject for a story; second, it has a very big market in the countries where we operate; and the third reason is that it isnt tied to mass media, which is why these stories do very well in transmedia Martinotti, who is in charge of content development at RedMagmaMedia, told PRODU.For his part, Daniel Marcet, CEO of FIAP and one of the founders of DayDream Storymakers, considers that todays tourism can easily access a huge databank of reliable information about tourist destinations, but storytelling makes this info come to life. We live in an era when the paradigm of communications is changing, and storytelling, thanks to new technologies and new media, above all social networks, is one of the ways to transmit messages that has most evolved, he said. The area of branding will be led by Carolina Sanchez Zinny, while Ignacio Fernandez Pelayo will direct the licensing department of DayDream Storymakers.Tourist destinations have to create a life experience that travelers want to be part of. At DayDream Storymakers we strategically tell unforgettable stories over social networks and other media outlets, channels and platforms, to reach and activate large communities of followers by means of exciting, intriguing content Martinotti said.
