Procter & Gambles Tide Pods announced it is partnering with fashion designer Tracy Reese, who for the first time will present machine-washable clothing as part of her Fall 2014 Collection. The alliance is between Tide Pods and the Council of Fashion Designers of America, or CFDA, and its Washable Fashion Initiative, a response to the constant demand for washable wear by the growing number of women who want designer fashions. At the same time, the initiative aims to educate the fashion industry about the advantages and possibilities of creating more designer wear with machine-washable fabrics. As a designer, it is very important to me to create garments for real women, in fact its something I take a lot of pride in said Tracy Reese. As I learned more about Tide Pods, I was inspired to rethink the idea of washable in my own designs. I have come to believe that just because a garment is made from washable fabrics doesnt mean it has to sacrifice anything in terms of design.Fashion fans will have exclusive access to the design process on Tides Pinterest page, where they will be able to have an influence on the two washable fashions that appear in the Fall 2014 Collection. We are thrilled to be working with Tracy because we know that her consumers are our consumers says Karen Klei Schlosser, associate marketing director, P&G North American Fabric Care.More information {here;http://www.tide.com/washablefashion}.
