If you are interested in an Washington Post article and youre using an adblocker, maybe youll be frustrated: the newspaper is testing different methods to prevent access to readers using ad block software that could stop them from watching ads in their web site. “We are currently running a short test in our site to see how we can engage with readers using adblockers” said Jeff Bezos, the newspaper owner and Amazons founder and President. In its web site, the newspaper invites readers to either subscribe to their newsletter or simply enable ads on The Washington Post site to be displayed. “Many people already receive our journalism for free online, and for a long term, without any income via subscriptions or advertising. We are doing tests all the time, but not reacting to a problem, but to learn” Bezos said. He added that the Washington Post works to respect readers privacy and to keep intrusive ads out.
