The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity announced the debut of the Lions Health festival, an event dedicated to the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Lions Health will honor the best campaigns promoting significant health benefits.The two-day festival is open to anyone who markets health products and services: manufacturers, pharmacies and companies dispensing health services; media, high-tech and creatives in the business of advertising healthcare; along with students and journalists. Two juries made up of industry experts will judge the participating content, accepting entries ranging from prescription-only medicines to over-the-counter products, even including non-branded messages to raise awareness about health issues in general.Lions Health will be held June 13-14, immediately before Cannes Lions 2014, for the purpose of aiding and inspiring the industry.With the learning and debate about issues that matter, this will be the perfect inspiration for anyone involved in marketing communications for products and services of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.Acceptance of entries for the competition will begin Dec. 12, 2013.
