The National Council of La Raza (NCLR according to its initials in English) announced a new program for the development of workforce in association with Wells Fargo. The purpose of this program is to generate interest in careers in the financial sector and alert millennial Latinos to follow them.The program, Los Latinos de la Generación del Milenio en Carreras y Estudios Universitarios, provides young Latinos with a variety of tools, resources and valuable information necessary to pursue careers and potentially find jobs in the area of financial services.”Young Latinos represent the fastest growing segment of the US workforce and even so, many of them ignore the excellent job opportunities that exist in the area of financial services”, expressed Delia Pompa, Senior VP of Programs. We are happy about our collaboration with Wells Fargo and about our joint initiatives aimed not only at informing young Latinos about careers in the area of financial services, but also at inspiring and creating the next generation of leaders in this sector”.The program highlights a series of activities that include face-to-face workshops and Internet seminars, specifically for the level of academic development of each participant.For almost a decade, the NCLR has collaborated with Wells Fargo through a multimillionaire alliance with the purpose of meeting the needs that affect the Latino community. This financing has the goal of supporting community participation and development initiatives.
