El dúo planea lanzar su primer álbum, que saldrá en agosto 2014 titulado Fuerza mayor
Periko & Jessi Leon released a song dedicated to the World Cup in partnership with McDonald’s recently. The Latino pop musical duo is the authors of their lyrics and music, which are, as they themselves describe it: “A fresh sound, organic, and comes from the heart” according to Periko. “Most of the songs we wrote are real stories that happen in our lives and people can identify with that” Leon added. This originality in their music was key to McDonalds, when choosing the song Live your game (sung in Spanish, English and Portuguese), as part of their campaign for the World Cup in Brazil, to celebrate the excitement of Hispanics in USA.”We are very pleased to receive the support of McDonalds and share their commitment to Hispanic youth and new talent. We are proud to be part of this movement,” Leon commented. Also, the duo plans to release their first album, due out in August 2014 entitled Fuerza mayor. “We are fortunate to have worked with Carlos Vives and Andrés Castro, as well as three-time Latin Grammy nominee, Javier Soto, and Gerardo Manrique, known for his work with Gianmarco” Periko said. Fuerza mayor was developed in Italy by Antonio Baglio, known for his work with Alejandro Sanz, Laura Pausini and David Bisbal, among others, and it is a project that has really caught the duo. “We put all our hearts into this album and we cannot wait to share it with our people,” Leon ended.
