“I told you I don’t always drink beer. I prefer tequila – Astral Tequila” says Jonathan Goldsmith, the former face of the famous Dos Equis beer campaign that gave him the title of The Most Interesting Man in the World, in a video message directed by David Lipman. After 10 years of staring the Dos Equis campaign, Goldsmith is now the spokesperson of Astral Tequila, awarded a Double Gold Medal by the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and part of the Davos Brands portfolio. The company was founded by Master Sommelier Richard Betts and is a unique spirit reminiscent of the way tequila was made 150 years ago before it was industrialized. Dos Equis retired Goldsmith from the role in 2016, but not before giving him one last commercial where he departed on a one-way trip to Mars. Goldsmith was introduced to Betts, who walked him through the process of how his tequila, Astral Tequila, is produced, he decided to join the company as a spokesperson and he also took an equity stake in the company.
