With Hispanic Heritage Month in full swing, the Immigrant Archive Project and DishLATINO are teaming up to digitally showcase the stories of Latino immigrants who left their home countries to build a new life in the United States. In the video series, Latino immigrants, from pop star Luis Fonsi to everyday heroes making a difference in their communities, speak to themes such as the importance of education, recalling their first days in the United States and the impact others have made on their journeys. The videos are available on the Sigue Haciéndola Website as well the Immigrant Archive Project’s page. “Our partnership with the Immigrant Archive Project is a natural fit given our shared goal of celebrating those who are striving to succeed in the U.S. – or as our campaign says, ‘Sigue Haciéndola'” said Alfredo Rodriguez, Vice President at DishLATINO. “During Hispanic Heritage Month, we are proud to tell these stories, and we hope to send a powerful message of hope, optimism, and pride that encourages others to keep pressing on.”
