Arthur Sadoun, President of Publicis Worldwide, will extend his responsabilities to include the coordination of MSLGroup, the public relations network. With this Alliance, the possibilities for both companies, and above all for Publicis´ client portfolio, will be extended.Maurice Lévy, Chairman and Executive Director at Publicis Groupe, said: This partnership is not about turning MSLGroup into part of Publicis Worldwide. Both entities will report to Arthur Sadoun, who will leverage on MSLGroup’s skills to develop a new integrated strategy”.Sadoun’s predecesor in MSLGroup, Olivier Fleurot, will become Senior VP of Publicis Groupe on September 1. The two agencies are already based in similar locations around the world.Fleurot joined MSLGroup in 2006, when he left the Financial Times Group, where he held the position of Executive Director for seven years. In his new role in Publicis Groupe he will oversee communications, corporate social responsabilities, real estate, insurance and multi disciplinary programs, such as Altair.Lévy explained that this announcement follows the strategy line for the transformation, integration and simplification of our structures. Under Arthur’s leadership, our main network has recovered and Publicis Worldwide’s modern approach is totally adequate for the development of MSLGroup”. This move represents important growth opportunities for Sadoun, who has been Chief Executive of Publicis Worldwide since 2013. The exec is considered the first option to replace Lévy who is to step down from his position in 2017.
