Ingram: Necesitamos compromiso ejecutivo y trabajar juntos para empujar esta agenda
Tamara Ingram, CEO of JWT, will discuss with a panel of creative women at the IPA and 4A’s World Wise Women session in Cannes how to recruit, maintain, and develop feminine talent in agencies. The executive shared the keys to include more women in the creative departments, setting the scene for what will be her participation in the event.”Real change requires determination, consistency over time and a lot of leadership impatience with the status quo. We need Executive commitment, planned actions, measurement, and to work together to push this agenda” she said.Ingram suggests insisting on a diverse candidate roster for every opening. This is true for external hires, internal promotions and even internships. “If you tell recruiters, hiring managers and key decision makers that there must be a female candidate for every opportunity, believe me, it will happen. Then, make sure a woman is part of the interview panel. And finally, hire on potential, not credentials” explained the CEO. “Providing mentors, sponsors and female role models will also help. We need to raise the visibility of female leaders in the industry.”Another piece of advice she offers is to create flexible structure in organizations, that allows both men and women to perform better, with less stress.
