Stockli: Me gusta que me vean como una aliada
One client of Stephanie Stockli, founder of the sales rep firm I Got Creative, is Shooters Films. Together they have not only formed a professional alliance, but also one of friendship with people in the industry who trust them as a team, including creatives and directors. “This closeness to creatives helps us better understand what type of director they need for each project. And though we already know who works with whom, we always end up surprising them with new proposals. And that is the challenge for each of our sales representatives,” she said. She added that the hardest part of producing an idea is not producing it but enhancing it: “This is achieved from the day we analyze the project and assign the ideal director to it, to the day we study the work plan. Everything has to be aligned. Everything has to exceed expectations. Production values come from behind the scenes.” Shooters Films and I Got Creative are currently immersed in content creation, while also producing short films, music videos and TV series. “This year, we did a feature film, Havana Kyrie, which got a lot of talk. We’re also opening a service company in Mexico City and are shooting a documentary on Jean Michael Basquiat, a project we’ve been working on for more than two years. You can never stand still or you’ll lag behind everybody. The idea is to run the marathon together,” she said. As for all the challenges the industry faces in 2019, Stockli said the good news is that a lot of clients are returning to the traditional model of producing original ads for the Hispanic market: “It’s a boomerang that hasn´t returned completely, but it’s headed our way.”
