Social Media Week (SMW) is an international period of conferences sharing the best ideas about innovation, creativity, and how social media and technology are changing business, society and culture around the world. SMW will take place in Miami Ad School on September 16, 17 and 18. The event will gather outstanding social network talents, technology experts and media, marketing and PR influential figures, such as: Borja Echevarría, VP Digital at Univision News, whos presentation is entitled How Virality Enables Social Conversation; Tim Pool, director of Media Innovation at Fusion and Isaac Philips, co-founder of Digital Future Forum, talking about The Great Decentralization of Journalism; Joanna Hausmann, producer/reporter at Univision News and Fusion, Tony Hernandez, president and CEO at Latino Broadcasting Company, Jeannette Kaplun, CEO at Hispana Global, and Manny Ruiz, creative director/founder of Hispanicize, will lead a panel entitled: The Language of Digital: English, Spanish or Spanglish? Other presentations are: Cuba, How a Nation Comes Online, Advocacy Journalism in the Digital Age; Sex and the Internet, and The Social Media Strategies Behind Political.
