Smartphones do not replace the PC yet. The American public has preferred digital video, and that video consumers will spend more than 200 million in 2015, representing nearly two-thirds of the entire population. Many users still use traditional multiple screens; which means that computers remain the most popular access point.According to the recent report by eMarketer: US digital video audience profile; digital video platform generates a growing audience, being the desktop or the traditional laptop, devices commonly used.An online survey conducted by US HUB Research found that the use of mobile devices and smart video display TVs grew in 2014, but a significant number of respondents still use computers.Furthermore, although there are fewer tablet users than users of smartphones, the size of the audience for the tablets in North America is almost as large as the audience of smartphones, reflecting the fact that the tablet is more associated with leisure activities.eMarketer predicts that about 56% of households in the US have some type of TV connected to Internet by 2015. This information is essential for planning and implementation of short-term advertising campaigns.
