Hispanicize organizers announced last February 12th that the Puerto Rican singer and Latin Grammy winner, Luis Fonsi, will participate in the second edition of the Positive impact awards presented by 3M.Throughout his 20-year career, Fonsi has received numerous awards in countries like Mexico, Spain, USA and Puerto Rico. As if that were not enough, he has one of the biggest records of presence in the Latin Billboard list, for his song No me doy por vencido that spent 30 weeks in the billboards. In 2014, he released his latest album in collaboration with various artists, including the Dominican singer Juan Luis Guerra.”Luis Fonsi has had a positive impact on the world, not only for his music but also for his various charitable contributions,” Katherine Johnson said, Executive Director of HispanicizeEvents. Since 2006, Fonsi has lent his image to help the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.”I feel very honored to receive the recognition of the Positive impact awards, and happy to share my music in this event” Fonsi said. The symposium will also include the participation of other celebrities as well as the opening performance of the band PALO!, the fusion of salsa and Afro-Cuban music group.The red carpet at the Positive impact awards will begin at 6:30 pm on March 19th at the InterContinental Hotel in Miami.
