Samir Arora, CEO de Mode Media
Samir Arora, Mode Media CEO, evaluated the current landscape of the digital video industry to explain the trends that will be seen in 2016. His company is a platform specialized in brand videos and native content, that knows the level of competitors and the new stars in the online video industry.According to comScore, North American adults spend more than 1 hour 15 minutes per day consuming digital videos. Only on Facebook, videos get 8 billion visits per day and reach 91 million people in the US.Arora predicts that digital video platforms will continue to grow at the same stable pace, so “in 2016 Snapchat will exceed Facebook as the primary source of user-generated videos. The competition between the two companies may open new opportunities for advertisers who wish to reach an audience increasingly focused on their mobiles.”Facebook is expanding into the YouTube arena, positioning itself as a platform to watch and share videos on multiple content channels. This is a market that Mode Media is also pursuing, but focused on the creators of professional videos.Among Arora’s bets for 2016, is the notion that in the next few months his company will overtake Vimeo.
