Roberto Alcázar, productor ejecutivo del filme
The indie film 200 Cartas (200 Letters) that premiered in New York last June 12 with the movies stars parading on the red carpet, including the famous Iris Chacon, is the production with the biggest portfolio of brand-integration clients ever made, according to Roberto Alcazar of EO Integration. A movie by Puerto Rico about Puerto Rico, 200 Cartas tells the story of a nuyorican (Puerto Rican New Yorker) who visits the island for the first time, looking for the love of his life. It is basically an ode to the beauty and culture of the island, said Roberto Alcazar, executive producer of the film as well as founder and creative director of EO Integration.Brands appear in the film that bring the two cultures together: Banco Popular, Goya, Diageo, Target Rent-a-Car, Toro Verde Park Adventures, and the recently launched Buye Beer. Alcazars job was to integrate the brands while giving them a much more important role than that of traditional product placement. Many Latinos in the United States of Puerto Rican descent have heard about their culture but dont really know it. Its like rediscovering your origins, your heritage. It fit like a ring on a finger to find so many brands wanting to be part of that trip, he said. The film 200 Cartas is an achievement that perfectly illustrates the mission of EO Integration, now in its fourth year of operations.
