Aguilera: Debemos ir ganando más terreno con trabajo muy bien hecho
Mexican director, Roberto Aguilera recently joined Shooters Films, together with Mauricio Jemal. “I was urging to reinvent myself. For two years I stayed away from production and when I met Mauricio I felt that I was in the perfect time to retake movies. I think this is a great opportunity. Shooters is a production house with great reputation and I very much look forward to working with all the team.” The main engine driving Aguilera is art, and currently he is seeking new markets where to develop the artistic advertising niche. “I’ve never had problems in the U.S., but among the Latino community there isn’t the same love for Mexican directors. We want to infiltrate more and more in this community where we are so much appreciated and change the perception they have of our directors in the Hispanic market” he said. For Aguilera the evolution of the Hispanic market is obvious. “The results speak for themselves. The Hispanic market has made its way with achievements and can perfectly be compared with the general market, although is not fair because it’s not done with the same tools. We continue to be still a little in the shadow of the general market regarding budgets and resources. We must gain ground with very well done work, and as Latinos we have to keep taking risks, and be proud of our culture.” Aguilera will be soon going on tour with Shooters’ team across the U.S. East Coast and Texas.
