Ricardo de Montreuil From Bobblehead: Working With Run The Jewels On The Car2Go Spot Was Amazing

For Director, Ricardo de Montreuil, the end of 2017 has been highly productive and included shooting multiple spots with Bobblehead for the Hispanic market and the U.S. general market.His most recent project is a documentary series for the European car sharing service Car2go, property of Mercedes Benz, together with the Bakery agency in Austin. “This is the first time the company hs made a campaign for the U.S. I directed the first spot in New York with the hip-hop group Run the Jewels. The video consisted of following them for an entire day driving a Mercedes Benz from Manhattan to Brooklyn talking about their influences, their experiences in the city and more. It was amazing to work with them. Bakery is really betting o this campaign for the U.S. market and I think it came out beautifully.” This summer De Montreuil shot the LatinWorks spot Imitation for the MLB together with Bubblehead. The spot is part of the Ponle Acento campaign, which shows how Latino baseball players changed the way the game is played. Together with the C-Com Group, he filmed a commercial for the Toyota Camry titled Desire. “We’re currently working on a new campaign for Nike with Bubblehead and Sergio Alcocer from Rest of the World. We’ll shoot it early next year for the Anglo market. We’re also working with Ricky Vior, José Moya (The Community) and the production company Prettybird on a video for With A Lion and their song Found Love” he said. De Montreuil is currently in preproduction for his feature film The Raven, produced by Mark Wahlberg for Universal.
