Circulo Creativo
The U.S. Hispanic Creative Circle announces that it will return to its origins and place its focus on raising the creative level of the Hispanic market. Under the leadership of three co-Chairman: Aldo Quevedo from Richards/Lerma, Gustavo Lauría from We Believers and Luis Miguel Messianu from ALMA, the organization is seeking to encourage union and highlight talent in the market. “Returning to the origins of how the Circle was created, whose goal was and continues to be very simple: help raise the creative level of our market and in the process, also contribute to raise the talent in the market” explains Messianu. Another of the changes in the structure is that, a unanimous decision of the board of directors resulted in replacing the figure of the President for local representatives. “They will be the ambassadors of the Circle in each one of the regions: Florida, Illinois, California, New York and Texas” comments Lauría. “We are open to anyone who applies and we will vote. That will, in turn, generate more local activity aimed at incentivating creativity, and not only for having the award as the main activity of the year, but instead to do things continuously”. The renovation of the board of directors will be another of the changes, points out Quevedo. “We think it is the moment for the board to reflect even more the reality of today´s market, and not only for it to be comprised of former presidents”. The extend the invitation to the agencies “that are protagonists of the market, but do not have a voice in the Creative Circle, for them to send some of their members, probably their main creative, so they can be informed of everything that is going on, participate, propose, add, and that will also help local activities to be better and to be the reflection of what agencies want and need”. Promotions include Francisco Vargas, General Manager, as the new Treasurer. For his part, Ciro Sarmiento, CCO of Dieste, expressed his admiration for the team that comprises the US Hispanic Creative Circle and thanked them for the support he received during the two years in which he was part of the organization as President.“I hand in the presidency of the Hispanic Creative Circle with profound admiration towards all those that comprise it. I thank Gus Lauría for believing; Paco Vargas and Bettina, for all the effort, and the members of the board for giving the opportunity to grow at a profesional and personal level. It was a true honor that they thought of me to preside. Now, my main goal will be to dedicate myself 100% to my work at Dieste and from there contribute as much as I can to our Hispanic market, and of course, to the Circle”.
