In the first half of the year Publicis Groupe registered 4.5 (US$ 4.95) billion in revenue, which implies a 35% increase compared to the same period in 2014 and a 1.2% rise organically. The company, which owns Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi and BBH, also reflected 363 million in net income during the same period, this is a 39.6% increase compared to the first half of the previous year. Maurice Lévy, chairman and CEO at Publicis Groupe, feels the solid levels of performance are due to the acquisition of SapientNitro and “the good work put in by our staff”. The SapientNitro transaction was carried out in February for US$ 3.7 billion. The company pointed out that more than half of its revenue came from digital activities. “The Sapient integration is not only going according to plan, it is slightly ahead of schedule. Most importantly, it is fulfilling promises that exceed our strategic valuation of the company”, explained Lévy. “In tomorrows world, which will be defined by digital data compiling and processing as well as technological investment in marketing, Sapients contribution will make it an acquisition of great quality that enables us to help our clients develop and transform themselves”.
