Publicis Groupe, which was founded in 1926 by Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet, is celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2016. The firm one of the three largest in the world- started in a little apartment with a secretary, and now has 80,000 employees. To celebrate the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit that characterizes the company, they decided to be mentors of 90 digital start-ups globally. To apply, projects must be submitted via the {Publicis90;www.publicis90.com} platform. It is open to students, new ventures, entrepreneurs or even Publicis Groupe employees anywhere in the world, they only have to put forward their idea. The goal is to provide them with tools needed to bring their projects to life, or to take them to the next level. The platform will be open for submissions until February 28. Projects will be pre-selected by region (the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe-Middle-East & Africa), and will remain anonymous. The first round of votes will be open to all Publicis Groupe employees. A regional jury will draw up a short-list from the pre-selected projects, before the final selection is made by a prestigious global jury that will pick the 90 most promising ideas. Maurice Lévy, Chairman and CEO of the company, declared: “Publicis90 is very much in line with the philosophy of Publicis Groupe and its founder, Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet. The idea is to help young entrepreneurs. Not just through investment but also by putting resources at their disposal for a year.”
