Levy: Es primordial crear el vínculo entre las marcas y las personas
Maurice Levy, chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe spoke with Randall Rothenberg, IAB president and CEO, about his views on the industry as head of one of the largest advertising agency networks in the world. Levy, who has served as leader of the advertising group for 43 years, hinted that his retirement in 2017, he would probably continue participating in the business. “People should not deal with that and people who are in a row in line for succession should not worry,” he said.He also spoke about the revolution of the Internet and data and how it has changed the industry, adding that he did not think networks exist in their current form in the next few years because communications have evolved: “The old structures and how we work belong to the past,” he said. “We have an incredible wealth of data. It will be harder than ever to get to the right person. True globalization will happen. While there are brands, there will be advertising because it is the only way to distinguish one brand from another.” Levy also noted that it is essential to create the link between brands and people. To conclude, the executive said: “Holding companies as we know them will not exist in the same way, will have to evolve dramatically. Bringing science and creativity together will lead to a different kind of company.”
