Alejandro Barreras, director creativo de Pinta
The new, full-service multicultural agency Pinta is now open for business, a spinoff of JeffreyGroup but a far cry from its parent agencys record as a PR agency.President and CEO Mike Valdes-Fauli manages a team made up of Lauren Cortiñas, managing director of communications in Miami; Creative Director Alejandro Barreras, also in Miami; Joe Gutierrez, managing director of the New York office; and Romina Bongiovanni, general manager of the boutique agency for PR and social-media marketing in Los Angeles altogether a structure that establishes a strong presence for the agency in three strategic multicultural markets.”Pinta is the embodiment of two changing dynamics; the evolution of the marketing industry overall, and the new mainstream of America” said Valdes-Fauli. According to Barreras, what Pinta proposes at the creative level is fully in line with the changing reality of the industry and the Hispanic market. Its a dynamic where the borders between disciplines are being erased and where creativity is as much in what you present to the audience as in the response you receive and the media outlet you use he told PRODU.For me as creative director, it means expanding my horizons to other disciplines and integrating the whole team even more. The idea is still king, but it wont always be expressed in 30 seconds Barreras said.Pinta offers its clients a wide range of services including advertising, communications, media planning, digital and social media, market research, experiential marketing and community-level marketing. The agency opened its doors with an important portfolio of clients including Buchanans, Johnnie Walker, Facebook, Fox Hispanic Media, Miami Marlins, Perfumania, T-Mobile and TD Bank.
