After attending Cannes for the first time and winning a Gold Lion, Damián Minckas and Ezequiel Flehner, directors and producers at Papamusic, are going through a fantastic moment in their career. Now their quest is to transform the production company into a source of content, devoted to creating music for brands with a passion for art. “We think that trying to be where ideas germinate and helping the agency, musically speaking, to generate innovative contents is where our industry is headed in the near future”, said the musicians. “This is something we´ve pondered for a long time, but it became more notorious after the experience in Cannes, which gave us a much broader view of the general environment”.Minckas and Flehner attempt to devote more time to music composition, to create an interesting song or leitmotiv. “We place all our expectations on working with good vibes and creating really good music that makes us feel proud and helps the agency materialize its creative vision”, they commented.During the production of the theme songs, they always choose to work with real instruments.”It´s a pleasure to be able to have real bands so our songs don´t sound like stock music. We usually invite foreign singers to participate in our pieces and always experiment a lot in the studio. All this endows our pieces with their own identity and that is our trademark”.
