Areu: Me emociona compartir mi historia y ojalá pueda motivar a otros a alcanzar sus sueños
Ozzie Areu, President of Tyler Perry Studios, will be awarded with the 2016 Latinovator Hispanicize. This award acknowledges the career of innovative Hispanics. The event, that celebrates and signals the trends for the best in film, digital content, journalism, advertising and Hispanic music in the U.S., will take place between April 4th and 8th in the InterContinental hotel in Miami. Areu is a Cuban-American, who began working as security guard in Hollywood, and currently leads a studio. “Ozzie is not only a dear friend and the right hand of one of the most successful moviemakers now in U.S., he is also a real inspiration and testimony that with hard work and integrity you can achieve anything” said Manny Ruiz, Hispanicizes Founder and Creative Director. “During my long career in media, Ive rarely met someone with a more irresistible and entertaining story.” Areu is leading the studio since 2006 and has produced many films and TV shows that highlight the currently key problems of racial minorities in the U.S. “I was able to progress in Hollywood and I reached my goal of becoming a successful producer. Its thrilling to share my story and I hope I can motivate others to reach their dreams” Areu said. “Most of the movies we produce aim to inspire several communities in overcoming difficulties. For which I am honored to be nominated to the Latinovator Hispanicize.”
