With a GIF sticker and two short films, the multicultural agency Orcí celebrated pride month by highlighting the humanity of every LGBTQ+. The agency’s initiative in support of this community continues its commitment to equality for all in terms of diversity and addressing vital problems affecting minorities “With pride season in full vigor, LGBTQ+ voices need to be heard now more than ever, since we are currently living in a divided nation” said Isaac Rizo, Account Executive at Orcí. To which Juan De Anda, social networks content manager, added that “it is an encouraging social transition to watch a growing number of Latinx young people defy the heteronormative culture by outing their identity and finding acceptance on social networks and in their surroundings.” Among Millennials it is less likely that Latinx will identify themselves as heterosexuals, with 22 percent identifying as LGBTQ, according to the University of Chicago’s GenForward survey.
