The Gunn Report for Media 2014, global evaluation of creativity, means of communication, innovation and effectiveness, have presented their report in which they summarize the general yield of the media throughout the previous year, based on the results of the main global, regional and national prizes; contests that cover approximately 42 markets.According to the ranking presented, the agency OMD is in the first place as the company which has obtained the highest number of awards, followed by Starcom MediaVest, PHD and Mindshare. For the eighth consecutive year, OMD has been named the most creative media agency, maintaining the exclusive position since the report was launched in 2004.As for the most awarded announcer in the world, the first place is taken by the well-known brand Coca-Cola. After it, McDonald’s, Samsung, Heineken, Nivea and Ikea, in that same order.The USA, Great Britain and India are the three countries which have received the most awards, followed by Canada and France.According to the journalist Isabelle Musnik, editor of The Gunn Report for Media, the future of the industry lies in means of communication’s ability to be innovative and creative. “Users are earning ever more control over means of communication, and the channels that brands use to connect with their consumers, and draw their attention, have become a vital part”, she said lastly.
