Hugo Menduiña ingresa al roster de Nunchaku
The Argentine production company Nunchaku, based in California and founded by Nicolas Kasakoff and Leda Nasio, announced the addition of Hugo Menduiña to its team.The new director grew up in Barcelona, Spain, listening to alternative rock bands like The Smiths, Joy Division and The Pixies. From there he developed a heightened interest in American and British indie movies while studying philosophy and working as a press photographer. He also enjoyed nightlife as a DJ in clubs and international festivals like Sonar. His more than 10-year career has given him the chance to work with big-name clients like Audi, Volkswagen, BMW, Mc Donalds, Vodafone and more. Menduiña told PRODU that he is extremely grateful to become part of Nunchaku, and to work with such fantastic people. Among his goals is the possibility of opening doors to Argentine and Latin American audiences. Its a market I admire a lot, the director said, adding that the work he has done in recent years has taught him a lot of new things. Ive had a great deal of luck in what I do he said.Through a combination of talent and experience, Menduiña has also been a standout in the direction and production of commercials. His refined visual focus is obvious, but he also has a great vision his productions tell stories full of inventiveness, dry humor and great emotion.
