Clara Aranovich spoke with PRODU about her admission to the roster of Nunchaku. For the writer and director who grew up in California, Chile and Buenos Aires, it is an honor to belong to this new family. “For me, it is a step forward in my career as a director and a lot of creative possibilities. Directing is a privilege and the love of my life, so I’m very happy,” she said.This young director, who has become the first director of Nunchaku, stresses that she will bring a lot of energy to this production. “I will give a unique insight based on the human condition. I love working with dry humor (a form of humor without changing emotions or body language),” she added.Aranovich has collaborated on several occasions for the Hispanic market, as a writer, producer and directing music videos in Spanish. She thinks that the Hispanic market is ready for an aesthetic change in audiovisual production. “I’m happy to join in a time of change and growth for my community” she said.Among their clients are: Chevrolet, hWnd, Playstation and AT & T, among others. She has been a finalist three times for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab., Silver Lion at the 2014 Cannes Lion Festival and won the Grand Prize for her commercial for hWnd in MOFILM. The new director of Nunchaku explained that all the projects she has worked in, have impacted her in some way. “That’s the beauty of being a young talent, everything still leaves its mark, and everything has weight,” she said.
