For the first time, consumers are spending more of their time in apps. During the latter half of the decade, the proliferation of mobile devices has transformed us into a society driven by a digital age, presenting new opportunities for advertisers to connect with consumers by creating more interesting and sophisticated apps to focus their attention on.New data from Nielsen shows that Android and iPhone users over 18 years in the U.S. spend 65% of their time each month using apps. In 2013, they spent 30 hours, 15 minutes using apps, a total of more than half a day, 18 hours and 18 minutes in 2011. The average number of this tool used for this month only increased slightly from 23.2% in 2011-26, 5% in the same period in 2012, to a 26.8% monthly applications in 2013.In conclusion, smartphone owners between 25 and 44 used the highest number of applications per month (29 applications on average), but between 18 24 spent more time in them (37 hours, 6 minutes).Time spent does not diminish with age, but the applications are clearly playing an important role in the lives of all smartphone users. An example of this is that even people over 55 spend more than 21 hours in an average of 22 different applications every 30 days.
