Nick Law, CCO global de R/GA
Madison Avenue nostalgia for a golden age of creativity is in sharp contrast with Silicon Valley’s optimism about an utopic future. If you look at it more deeply, you see a clash of creative cultures, one is a simple narration of stories, the other is about innovation and systematic design. That way, Nick Law, Global CCO at R/GA, showed the power of joining both ways of thinking and how the result is the perfect intersection between simplicity and possibility. “We need to close the gap between the story (Madison Avenue) and the system (Silicon Valley) in order to build the new creativity.” He added that in the past, traditional agencies aimed at telling stories based on great ideas, now they tend to ignore coding and programming which is what digital agencies are. Amidst the 2016 MIXX Conference by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), Law explained why the agency contributes to the context and creative capital to discover “the idea.”
