Tafalla ha trabajado en el proyecto que ahora se conocen como el histórico Little México
Nellie Tafalla is considered an institution in Dallas where she grew up, got married and raised her five children. Currently she serves at the Mexican American Historic League of Dallas, which collects information about the Mexican-American contributions to Dallas history and celebrates them. For her outstanding career and community service she was acknowledged as Fords Legendary Women in its fourth year edition. “I am deeply honored to be a part of Ford’s program. This company cares and is willing to bring awareness to the achievements and contributions of women, especially women of color who continue to break barriers and challenges” Tafalla told PRODU. Tafalla has worked on the project known now as the Little Mexico historical, for which she hopes Ford continues to support Hispanic communities. “Continue to be an instrument in meeting the challenges our communities face with economic survival and equality. Kudos to Ford and thank you for the work you do.”
