Ford e Intel están investigando nuevas oportunidades para crear un automóvil inteligente
Ford and Intel are investigating new opportunities to create a smart car, with options to give drivers the ability to look inside their car with a smartphone or even create a vehicle that can identify its owner through a facial recognition software. The project, called Mobile Interior Imaging, explores how to integrate indoor cameras with sensor technology and data already generated in and around the vehicle to create a more personalized interaction between the driver and the vehicle that will transform the driving experience.”Our goal with the Mobii research is to explore how drivers interact with technology in the car and how we can then make the interaction more intuitive and predictive” Paul Mascarenas said, vice president of Ford Research and Innovation. “The performances we have come to understand better, it will help us shape the customer experience in the long term,” he added.Upon entering the vehicle, the driver is identified by the Project Mobii through a camera and the facial recognition software. Then the in-car experience is personalized to display information specific to that driver, such as his/her calendar, contacts and music. The gesture recognition tool allows intuitive interaction for the driver. A combination of natural gestures and simple voice commands simplify tasks such as increase or decrease the air conditioning, or open and close a sunroof while driving.
